the ten year old girls have dusted their sheep w/ glitter...they
sparkle under the bright lights...a few alternative sheep w/
tattoos, pierced lips and multi-colored wool...a group of "local business
people" do the bidding...skinny guys in white cowboy hats, ancient
matrons in jeans and denims and bright aluminum walkers...meat for the winter...the
sheep are nervous, trying to get away...lambs to the slaughter.
Everyone is praising 4H despite the fact that agriculture is dying out, giving way to
lattes and human potential. None of the kids want to be ranchers or farmers when they grow
up...
